Question: Are these shoes handmade?
Answer: Yes! Our soft-soled shoes are 100% handmade from start to finish. Each pair of shoes is handmade by myself or one of my talented seamstresses. The hardware is added by my husband and other MP team members to bring you the highest quality we can! Each pair of shoes is handcrafted from 100% genuine leather.
Our previous season hard-soled shoes were crafted ethically overseas and made with the same love and care as our original soft-soles. We are releasing new hard soles on August 30, 2019 that are handcrafted by a small family business in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! (we are SO excited about this!) Our hard soled shoes are 100% genuine leather with a flexible grip rubber sole.
Question: How long will it take for me to get my shoes?
Answer: We have recently changed the way shoes are produced and shipped to you. All shoes are cut, sewn, and receive hardware by one of our incredible team members. We work hard to build stock for each "drop" that matches the needs and interests of our amazing customers. Doing this means each release is RTS (ready to ship) and will ship within 1-5 business days from date of purchase.
Question: What is your return policy?
Answer: We are sure that you will love your purchase! However, if for any reason you are unsatisfied please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days for a return/refund. You will need to send the unworn shoes, in their original packaging (dust bag and a box so they don't get smashed) back to us. This policy is only valid on shoes purchased directly from mon petit shoes. The customer is responsible for return shipping, initial shipping you paid, as well as a 5% restocking fee. Once returned, you will be credited back the cost of the shoes, minus the restocking fee only. Shoes purchased at a discount (meaning ANY SALE DAY are FINAL SALE, no refunds). This includes MOTHER'S DAY, BLACK FRIDAY and CYBER MONDAY.
Since our RTS inventory often sells out, we cannot offer a replacement pair. You will be issued a refund, or store credit (your preference). Our goal is to have customers that are 100% satisfied with their MP experience.
We are not able to combine orders or refund shipping on multiple orders as all orders are shipped individually.
We hope to ship all orders, both domestic and international, within 3-5 business days after purchase date for standard shipping. For expedited and priority shipping, orders should ship the following business day but could take up to 2 business days to ship.
Question: What happens if my tracking number says delivered but I didn't receive my package?
Answer: Unfortunately, packages marked as delivered, but are 'not received', are your responsibility to locate. Once the package leaves our fulfillment facility, we are no longer liable. Please contact your local post office, as they can check the geotag of the delivery scan and escalate an investigation on your behalf. Unfortunately, we are unable to track down your package.
We do not issue refunds on lost packages.
Question: What are my payment options?
Answer: We offer regular CC Processing, Paypal, ApplePay and have recently added Afterpay.
An important note on Afterpay: If you are using Afterpay to checkout, you may run the risk of your carted items overselling! This typically only occurs with high demand products during "launch" times, but can happen. Unfortunately, due to communication in the Afterpay payment gateway window, products you may have purchased could have oversold in the checkout stage. Mon Petit Shoes is not responsible for goods overselling for customers who use Afterpay. We will refund customers who have had products oversell in their order. Please understand that we try to provide the easiest/quickest checkout possible and want to be upfront about any issues you may encounter. THANKS!
Question: Do you offer gift certificates?
Answer: Currently, (because we have chosen to offer Afterpay as a payment option) we are unable to sell gift certificates directly through our website, but you are welcome to email customer service at email@example.com and we can certainly invoice you for a gift certificate.
Question: Do you offer a narrow option on soft-soles?
Answer: We have tried to make this happen, but we are no longer going to be able to fulfill this request for you.
There are so many variances in the leather, in the colors, the soles, the metallics... they all have differences in weights and vary in thickness as well. This creates a problem when trying to sew "off the pattern" because it causes the shoes to pull weird, look strange and potentially not fit well. All of our patterns are based on the 50th percentile growth charts for each size and that means that they fit some kids like a glove while other kids have room for more foot splaying. This is totally normal for soft-soled shoes, and quite honestly, one of the benefits of them! Giving your child more room for growth/splay/freedom. We are still more than happy to change strap lengths as needed (shorter or longer). Really, as long as the shoes are staying on your child and they are showing no signs of discomfort, they are perfect for your little one to run and play or be swaddled for snuggles, just as they were intended to do!
Question: Is it normal for my shoes/soles to have variances (ie. small discoloration, "wrinkles", "scratches" etc?
Answer: YES! Our shoes are made from 100% genuine cowhide leather. This means there will be incongruence in shoes. Your shoes could have been cut right next to each other on the hide, but have a slightly different look or feel.
Question: Can I get shorter straps on my shoes?
Answer: Yes, you can! In order to do this, you need to return the shoes to us with a note that has your name, email, and shipping address as well as the instructions you'd like us to follow (shorter strap/longer strap). PLEASE contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to shipping to ensure all information needed is passed along. We will get this done and get them shipped back to you within 5 business days. Please note, straps on hard soles have a buckle rather than snap, so will not need adjustment.
Question: Do you offer any sort of guarantee on your shoes?
Answer: YES! We offer a lifetime guarantee on your shoes! Meaning, if your little wears a hole in the sole, we will re-sole the shoes for you! If you have any issues with any portion of your shoes, please be in contact with us and we will make it right!
